World Map [Spinward]

Framed and ready to hang. This is a modified world map from an airplane magazine. While there is no up or down in space, and the way we orient North and South is arbitrary, our planet does always spin in one direction. This simple map, with most of the information redacted, focuses on this fact. The paper for this collage is acidic and will fade and discolor with time, especially if exposed to direct sunlight. This aging is an intended aspect of the artwork. It has been framed in archival, ph neutral conditions to aid its longevity, which is likely to be longer than a single human lifetime.
